Iran pledges resistance to threats on infrastructure following Trump warning

(MENAFN) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that the country will resist any pressure or threats targeting its critical infrastructure, following remarks by US President Donald Trump signaling continued military strikes on Iranian targets.

According to reports, Pezeshkian made the comments in a post on X, where he described essential infrastructure as vital to national survival and criticized threats against civilian sectors.

He stated, “Critical infrastructures are the lifeblood of the people,” adding, “Threats to target them -- from transportation networks to the electricity and water industries -- are not a show of strength but a sign of desperation in the face of a nation's will.”

The Iranian president emphasized that the country would rely on its domestic expertise, national cohesion, and internal capabilities to withstand external pressure.

“Iran, relying on the knowledge and capabilities of its specialists, national unity, and solidarity, will stand firm against any pressure or threat,” he said.
